Beginner Summer Sewing Fun!!!

Whether you’re brand new or just need a refresher, you’ll learn the basics in a fun, supportive environment. Sewing is more than a skill. It’s a relaxing, creative escape that brings calm to your busy days. Each class is full of laughter, inspiration, and the satisfaction of making something truly your own. Come join a community of makers and fall in love with the art of sewing!
Adults $25 per class
Children (8-10) $15 per class
Pre-Teens and Teens (11-17) $25 per class
Classes are held via Zoom for 2 hours per class
7 Weeks
Week 1 – Sewing and Sewing Machine Basics (1 Hour)
Week 2 – Make a Pillow (2 Hours)
Week 3 – Make a Quilted Zipper pouch (2 Hours)
Week 4 – Make a Quilted Zipper Pouch (continued) (2 Hours)
Week 5 – Make a Tote Bag with a Button (2 Hours)
Week 6 – Make Pajama Pants (Learn to Read a Pattern) (2 Hours)
Week 7 – Make Pajama Pants (Learn to Read a Pattern, continued) (2 Hours)
Classes Begin May June 4, 2025
-Schedule will be emailed based on availability
A follow up email will be sent with the supply list and schedule of classes. A sewing machine is needed for the classes.

Learn My Machine
Do you have a sewing machine gathering dust in your closet? Or maybe you’ve been hesitant to use it because you’re not sure where to start? This class is designed just for you! Learn My Machine is a hands-on, beginner-friendly class that will help you get comfortable with your sewing machine and gain the confidence to start creating.
In this class, you will:
- Master the Basics: Learn how to thread your machine, wind a bobbin, and set up your machine for success.
- Understand Your Machine: Explore the different parts of your sewing machine and how they work together.
- Get to Know Stitches: Learn how to adjust stitch settings and understand the most common stitches for basic projects.
- Build Confidence: By the end of the class, you’ll be ready to take on your first simple sewing project, whether it’s a pillow, tote bag, or simple repairs!
Whether your sewing machine has been sitting unused for months (or years!) or you’ve never touched one before, this class will demystify the process and give you the skills to start sewing with ease.
Needed Items:
- Your sewing machine (don’t forget the manual if you have it!)
- A spool of thread and a couple of bobbins
- Fabric scraps (we’ll practice threading and stitching on these)
- Any sewing tools or accessories you have, like scissors, pins, or needles (if you have them)
