Hi everyone, my name is Teria from Peace and Make. Today, I’m sharing my spring capsule wardrobe—though if you’re not into capsules, it’s simply a spring wardrobe filled with cute and comfortable outfits for everyday wear. These looks range from casual and comfy to dressy, perfect for anything from running errands to attending an event or even going to church. Some of these pieces are ready-to-wear, and others are garments I’ve sewn myself. I’ve mixed and matched the two to show how versatile everything can be. Let’s dive in!
For this first look, I’m wearing a button-up shirt from Gap. I actually made a similar shirt, but this one is more casual. I paired it with pants I made from Ry linen fabric from Melanated Fabrics, which has since closed. I love the fit of these pants—they’re simple, and the fabric is so comfortable. These pants are a bodice-style pattern, and although they don’t have pockets, I was going for a minimalist design. The earrings are a gift from my sister-in-law, and I’ll link her shop below when I get the name. My necklace is from K Jewelers. I decided to mix metals today, combining gold accents with silver—something I don’t usually do, but I think it works!
Next, we have a dress that’s perfect for spring. It’s a one-piece dress that I love for its versatility. I’ve worn it with heels for events, or dressed it down with sneakers. I can also layer it for winter with a blazer or jean jacket. The belt is from Kohl’s, and the earrings are ones I’ve had for years. The necklace came from Target. It’s a simple button-up shirt dress that I can easily dress up or down. I actually plan to make another one soon—so stay tuned for that!
For this next look, it’s a three-piece outfit: a shirt, a bralette underneath, and pants. The pants are self-drafted, and the shirt is made from a pattern I love. The bralette is from another pattern, and I’ll include the details in the description below. I love the bright colors of this outfit, which makes it perfect for the beach or a casual trip to the grocery store. It’s incredibly comfortable, almost like wearing pajamas—but still cute enough for a day out.
Here’s another fun look: a striped shirt that I made myself. I paired it with jeans from Old Navy—super affordable and perfect for my long legs since they offer extended sizes. The shirt is made from a French terry fabric I got from Boho Fabrics, and the cuffs and bottom hem are from fabric I picked up at Joann. Finding matching fabrics for this project was tricky, but I love how it turned out. I really enjoy wearing this shirt with jeans, especially in spring. It’s one of my favorites! Let me know if you love stripes as much as I do!
This next outfit features hibiscus flowers! The shirt is made from a French terry fabric, and I added some cute red cuffs at the sleeves and hem—this fabric was a gift, so I’m not sure exactly what it is, but I love the pop of red. The pants are from Old Navy again. This shirt is so versatile—I can pair it with different jeans or dress pants to switch up the look. Sometimes I wear it with high brown boots, but it also works with sneakers. It’s such a comfortable, everyday outfit.
Here’s a simple ready-to-wear look. This shirt is from one of my favorite stores, Pits, which I love for its high-quality fabrics and a great range of styles. I paired it with the same Old Navy jeans I wore with the hibiscus shirt to show how you can mix and match these pieces. It’s a great example of how to get multiple looks from a few staple items, like these jeans. Changing up the shirt totally transforms the outfit!
So, that’s it for today! I hope you enjoyed seeing some of the pieces in my spring wardrobe. Whether ready-to-wear or handmade, I love how versatile these pieces are, and I can’t wait to mix and match even more!
